About Thea Alipio
Thea earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 2017, completing a transformative year-long internship that deepened her passion for working with children. Immersed in the daily realities of young individuals facing profound challenges, she found inspiration in their resilience and strength. This early experience was pivotal, shaping Thea’s commitment to a career dedicated to paediatric rehabilitation and disability care.
In 2019, Thea joined Hong’s Children for Cerebral Palsy, where she spent four years making a meaningful impact as part of a multidisciplinary team. Collaborating closely with general practitioners, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists, she specialised in the Asian Paediatric Bobath Approach—a therapeutic method that emphasises movement and developmental support for children with neurological conditions. Through her work, Thea became a quiet but powerful force in the lives of her young clients, helping them reach milestones once thought out of reach. The trust and connection she built with both children and their families remain a cornerstone of her practice.
Motivated by a strong sense of purpose and a desire to share her knowledge more broadly, Thea relocated to Australia to continue her work in paediatrics and disability. Her journey reflects a deep, unwavering dedication to improving the lives of those touched by disability—work she sees not just as a profession, but as a lifelong mission.
At Goldfields Physio, Thea brings this same spirit to every interaction. Her unique combination of technical skill, gentle persistence, and heartfelt care makes her a valuable part of the team and a trusted presence for families across the region. Thea’s practice is guided by a simple but powerful belief: that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and every small step forward is a victory worth celebrating.
