About Erika Diaz

Erika completed her physiotherapy degree in 2009 from Universidad Nuestra Señora del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia.

Erika’s practicums saw her acquire and advance her skills in physiotherapy assessment and treatment. She had unique experiences providing sports rehabilitation for elite athletes of the national bowling league, as well as working with wounded soldiers who had suffered traumatic amputations, to facilitate competition across various disciplines of the Paralympics.

Following university, Erika worked both in the public and community based rehabilitation sectors, gaining valuable experience in neurological and chronic conditions. She eventually transitioned to private practice working with a broad spectrum of clients, encompassing neurological, musculoskeletal and chronic conditions.

Seeking new opportunities and eager to learn a second language, Erika migrated to Australia. While undertaking the lengthy registration process, Erika worked as a disability support worker as well as obtaining certification in clinical mat Pilates.

Erika joined the Goldfields Physio team in 2016 and had enjoyed working on a casual basis while growing and raising her beautiful family. Always eager to learn, in this time she has also completed courses in women’s health and fitness, obtaining a certificate in antenatal and postnatal functional training.
